Capsicum is the name for a group of flowering plant species, whose berries are “peppers”. They come in many varieties, but most are common and used frequently for cooking in many different cuisines. These include: bell peppers, chili peppers, jalapenos, peperoncinis, banana peppers and many more. The common spice, Paprika, is also a mix of several different Capsicum peppers.

Oleoresins are semi-solid extracts composed of a resin in solution in an essential and/or fatty oil, obtained by evaporation of the solvent(s) used for their production.
