Description: Organic Roman Chamomile essential oil is derived from the flowers of the Roman Chamomile plant (Chamaemelum nobile) through steam distillation. Contraindications: Roman chamomile oil is normally used topically, but not ingested. In case of ingestion, experts recommend using only the highest quality of the oil and doing it at least once a week, under the supervision of a professional. Anyone with existing seasonal allergy symptoms should exercise caution when using chamomile oil. For skin treatment, it’s a good idea to do a patch test on a small, insensitive part of the skin to make sure you don’t have any unpleasant reactions to chamomile. Roman chamomile might be a mild emmenagogue only in extremely high doses. Properly diluted, both are safe to use during pregnancy.
