Description: Opoponax is compared to Myrrh and is known as sweet Myrrh. Opoponax oils are steam distilled from the resin from trees. Opoponax Oil is deeply grounding and can help to mellow and balance out the emotions. It is used in spiritual and incense applications. Opoponax provides pain relief and is also used as an antiseptic and anti-parasitic properties. Opoponax oil is used in perfumary, helps fight infection and provide relief for sore muscles. Traditionally, Opoponax was used to treat coughs, mouth sores, and wounds. Various cultures used opoponax gum to ward off negative energy, strengthen the senses, and increase awareness. Its use as a component in perfumes and incense dates back to Biblical times. Opoponax oil is a cousin to Myrrh essential oil, they belong to the same family, Commiphora. However, Opoponax has a different aroma to Myrrh. The latter is more intense, with a bitter, aromatic edge. Opoponax oil is worth buying, especially if you enjoy wearing perfume. As a fixative, it ensures the scent lasts for longer. Furthermore, this oil offers a natural way to treat various health conditions, some of which we have discussed above. You do not have to rely on over the counter medications that may have adverse side effects in the long run.
